Bernie was a true patriot. He was a proud Marine Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was known by so many everywhere he went and loved talking to everyone. He took pride in his home and his belongings and always made sure everything was taken care of, including other people, family and friends, and himself. He would always lend a helping hand and always had a good idea on how to improve/fix things.
Bernie was an outdoors man that enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on classic cars and loved riding his Harley. He always worked out and stayed very fit and healthy. Bernie loved listening to music and no matter where he was you could count on him playing some rock and roll. He also loved watching Detroit sports, especially football with family and friends. His first priority though, was his family. He loved his family and friends and was so proud of all his grandchildren.
You always felt safe in his presence. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him. Bernard was a true hero.
