Betty Joyce Liston

Betty Joyce Liston passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Harvey J. Liston (2018). She was born to Dale and Violet (Gribben) Strong on August 4, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan. Betty was involved in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts with her children; bowled on a women's league with her twin sister Ethel, a mixed league with her husband Harvey, and a senior's league with her mother Violet and sister Doretta; she loved to go gambling and playing the slots. As an avid Red Wings fan and Lion's fan, Betty enjoyed watching her teams whenever they played. Betty was a fighter, beating and surviving cancer four times.

Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey J. Liston; parents; twin sister Ethel Nagel; sister Mary Hill; sister Doretta Priebe; sister in law Olive Gunnis; brother in law Leroy "Jerry" Liston; and sister in law Elinore Schmidt.

Loving mother survived by Claudia Stanton (Don); son Dale (Nancy); daughter Stacey Zenner (Dennis); daughter Rae Magon (Christopher). Loving grandmother of Kim Randazzo (Anthony); Wendy Schneider (Jeff); Kristine Liston; Michael Liston (Amy); Michelle Nelden (Brendan); Kayla Lincoln (Matthew); Alyssa Magon; Ciera Triplett (Colten); Christopher Magon. Loving great-grandmother of Alexander Wheeler (Chelsey); Jordan Wheeler; Logan Wheeler; Kellie Randazzo; Andrew Harper; Jacob Sciarrabba; Emily Liston; Emma Fenton; Alayna Fenton; Nellie Nelden (2024); Peyton Lincoln; Grayson Lincoln; Lincoln Triplett (2024). Great, great-grandmother of Gavin Wheeler. Brother in law Robert Priebe.

Services and visitation will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152. Visitation: Sunday, June 2, 2024 the family will receive friends from 2-8pm. Monday, June 3, 2024 there will be visitation from 10-11am and service will begin at 11am. Interment at Glen Eden Cemetery at 35667 Eight Mile Road, Livona, MI 48152 immediately following.
