Beverley was born January 5, 1927 in London, Ontario to the late Thomas Mullen and Jean (Pellow) Taylor. She immigrated to the United States as a young child and her family settled in the Detroit area.
In 1987, Beverley retired from AT&T, where she served as a telephone operator, fraud investigator, and supervisor. Following retirement, she traveled extensively around the world with the Nomad’s travel group. She was an avid reader and a stack of books was always near. She was especially grateful for the services of the Wayne County Library for the Blind, which allowed her to enjoy books even after losing her vision to macular degeneration. Beverley enjoyed entertaining, dining out with friends, and a glass of white wine. She was a spirited woman and will be remembered fondly for it.
She was the loving mom of Cheryl Tanner, Kim (Joyce) Jackson, and Denys (Donald Brewer). She was the loving “Nana” to her grandchildren Glenn, Jim, Katie, Maureen, Samantha, Lynn, Brittany, DJ, and great-grandchildren Logan and Kendall. She was preceded in death by her brothers Jack Loughery, Barry Mullen, Bill Taylor and granddaughter, Leah.
Visitation with family and friends is Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral service Monday, May 11, 2015 at 10:30am at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd., (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
