

Cary was born on June 7, 1930, in Detroit, Michigan, to Cary C. Wilson and Verna (Tripp) Wilson. He graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit in 1948. During his high school years, Cary met Violet, who would later become his beloved wife and lifelong partner.
Following graduation, Cary honorably served his country in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he married his high school sweetheart, Violet Niffin. Cary went on to earn his bachelor’s degree and devoted his professional career to environmental research at the University of Michigan, where his work reflected his dedication to learning and service.
Cary was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his son, Cary A. (Alison) Wilson; his daughters, Kathryn A. (Mark) Bondy and Lynne F. (Al) Rogers; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Wilson.
A private burial service will be held at Glen Eden Cemetery.
