Charles was a beloved husband of the late Marjorie Markos, who passed away in May 2012. We hold joy in their reunion together in heaven. He is survived by a wonderfully large and loving family who were present for his peaceful passing. A cherished father of 7 children: Cheryl Hillman, Paula Butzin, Charles Markos, Karen McDonnell, Tom Markos, Mike Markos, Margie Boik and their spouses. A caring grandfather of 15 grandchildren and their spouses/partners and proud great grandfather of 17 great grandchildren. Charles is also survived by his close brother Bill Abanatha and spouse, as well as many dear relatives and friends.
A proud WWII veteran, Charles was an Aviation Radioman Second Class in the Navy stationed throughout Asiatic Pacific. Married to his beautiful wife Marjorie for 65 wonderful years, together they created a family legacy that will endure forever. He was always there for anyone and always making one smile. He will always be our one true clown, avid collector and 50 state traveler. Charles was a role model for all and lived his life well.
