On Sunday, September 19, 2021, Christina Rose ”Chrissy” McHenry, passed away, suddenly from natural causes. Chrissy was born on April 29, 1989, to parents John and Carol McHenry. She grew up as the middle child of three, having an older sister, Rachel, and a younger brother Jonathan. She spent most of her childhood in Livonia and graduated from Stevenson High School in 2007. She played four years of golf, on the Stevenson girl’s golf team, and enjoyed having two of those years with her sister, Rachel. After graduation, Chrissy attended Eastern Michigan University, where she majored in English. She owned her own cleaning business, “Mops of Love”. In addition to her work, she mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing games or just hanging out. Chrissy had an artistic flair and enjoyed decorating and making things cozy and warm.
People have described Chrissy as “The sweetest person I’ve ever known.” She will be remembered for her generous, caring and sensitive heart. If somebody needed something, Chrissy was there. She always put others before herself. Chrissy was a peacemaker. Maybe it is because she was a middle child or maybe it is because that is just who she was. Chrissy was an animal lover, and as a child, could not watch movies where an animal was injured. In her younger years, Chrissy attended Northville Christian Church and School, where she learned about Jesus and His love for her. Chrissy’s faith remained important to her throughout her life.
Chrissy leaves behind her parents, father, John McHenry; and mother Carol (Robb) deBeauclair; sister, Rachel McHenry and brother, Jonathan McHenry. In addition she leaves behind her grandmother, Gerri Carr, her aunts: Lynn (Steve) Turk, Mary (Pat) Horning, Buffy (Pat) McLean, and uncles; Jim (Kim) McHenry, Tom (Carol) Wallace, Larry (Colleen) Wallace, and Jack (Deb) Wallace. Numerous cousins, friends and her two cats, Ivan and Margot, also survive.
