Christine (Chris) Dawson, 58 years old of Livonia, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 4, 2021. She was born April 5, 1962 to Robert and Charlotte (Gail) Grundner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was a graduate of Redford Union High School in 1980 of Redford, Michigan.
After high school, she began a 25 year career with Kmart, where she met her loving husband, Richard. Chris and Richard were married on September 26, 1987 for 33 years and had 3 daughters. Chris retired to be a homemaker with their girls.
Chris was a Detroit sports fan and an avid bowler, looking forward to her night(s) out each week. She was an active member of the Livonia Public Schools, PTA, and PTSA from elementary to high school, as her daughters moved through the district. Despite the busy schedule her daughters set for her, she never missed an event!
Chris is survived by Richard, her beloved husband, father Robert Grundner, daughters Stephanie (Tony) Gwin, Kimberly Dawson, and Heather Dawson, brother Rick (Maureen) Grundner, sisters Kathy (Tim) Wikentiew and Sandi (Steve) Ostler, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Grundner.

A strolling memorial visitation (25 people at a time) for Christine will be held Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Visitation (25 people at a time) will continue Friday, March 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
