  
Mrs. LaDuke , You were a very special person to me. From the moment I was just two weeks old on West Chicago you were in my life. I can remember going over your house everyday when I was younger to just say hi. You always had arts & crafts to work on with me. I can remember walking home from school & you would be either on the porch or in the window waving making sure Glenn & I were home from school. Another one of my favorite memories of you was the smell of cookies always in your house. Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, molasses & peanut butter balls were my favorites! Always for my birthday you had the packages wrapped so neatly with a design that looked like had taken hours. I can remember the paper so bright & colorful & it always had the age I was turning cut out on the box. I would open so carefully that I wouldn’t rip the design. Moving away when I was 10 years old was very hard on me. As I got older, I would still stop to visit & always enjoyed your company & stories you would share. Mrs. LaDuke, you were always there for everything. From birthdays, softball games, graduation, weddings, and so much more. I am so thankful for my time with you, Mrs. LaDuke & am grateful you  met my husband & two children.  ❤️ Beth Yuhasz 

Mrs. L, my husband and I, moved in to the house next door with a 2 yr. old son and a 2 week old baby girl.  Being a rookie mom you were always there for me.  As the kids got older they always seemed to find their way to your house where you always welcomed them whether to just visit or do a project.  You always had your favorite molasses cookies handy which made my husband happy.  I will always remember your kind ways especially in keeping an eye on the kids. We clearly remember you taking Beth's stitches out on the kitchen table.  You were so patient in spite of the screams.  And when I had trouble finishing Beth's Strawberry Shortcake costume, you came to the rescue! There was nothing you couldn't do!!!  We will always remember our mini trip to Williamsburg, VA soon after our son was married.  Mrs. L thank you for being a wonderful neighbor and even a better friend through the years. I was the little boy on the other side of the fence that would play and ask 1000 questions as Mrs. Laduke would be weeding along the fence line.  She always had the patience to answer every question. And she would look through the clover to find the four leaf clover for me or my sister to find. I remember one hot summer when the biggest garden snake I ever saw slithered through the yard as we where screaming, and Mrs. L came to the rescue with her ax and saved the day. I will never forget her famous oatmeal and molasses cookies and her perfectly shaped peanut butter balls. Or the many birthday parties she would attend with the perfectly wrapped gift and over the top creation on the package. And the many crafts that we created with miniature bunny’s driving their Easter egg cars.  I remember running in from the garage with Mr. L telling her it was time for a beer and Mrs. L always had ice cold root beer waiting. She always had the most beautiful Christmas tree with the tinsel icicles that were all perfectly placed.  And I remember picking raspberries out at the farm. There are so many memories you helped create for me and my family. You always will be a part of my life and never be forgotten. God truly has received an angel with you! With love, Glenn
