I had the pleasure of knowing Clara since 1993  as a friend, Financial CLient, and fellow long time member of the Livonia Commission on Aging, which she served as President for many years.  She was always so polite, so friendly and so interesting to talk to!  I was able to go by and see her several months ago and she still knew me and was as sharp as ever.  She will be missed by the many who knew her in Livonia City government and countless friends. As a reminder, she was named Livonia Citizen of the year in 2012.  What a legac7

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Karr's passing. What a wonderful, long life she must have had. We extend our sympathy to the entire family.

So sorry to hear about Grandma Karr's passing.  Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow.

Aunt Clara was undoubtedly a force to be dealt with.  My father, her brother, once told me you know Clara will outlive all of us.  Knowing how hard her life was at times my eyes narrowed.  "Yes, he said.  She was always the most determined of the four of us.  She was always positive in the face of uncertain odds.  It was a gift she shared generously.  You know, Gail, happy people live longer they just do".  I knew she'd outlive my father because he had cancer.  Then after he passed Uncle Steve said Clara will outlive me.  His story was the same.  

Yes, Aunt Clara had good genes and passed them one to all in her brood.  But more than that she had moxie, intelligence, perseverance, deep abiding faith and a good sense of decency.  Hard to beat that combination in anyone.

I will miss you.  Say hello to my mom and dad, Uncle Steve and Aunt Gloria for me.  Grandma will be waiting with her famous Hungarian dessert breads.

To the Karrs.  I know this is a loss which comes with the emptiness of losing a mother.  However, you can be proud she was your mother and always proud of all of you.
