Cora M. Whitehouse, 64, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, passed away suddenly on July 31, 2020. Cora was born on January 23, 1956 to William O. and Irene B. (Wimsatt) Whitehouse in Detroit. She and her twin brother were two of the eight children born into the family. She graduated from Chadsey High School in 1975. Cora was a manager of Hunt's ACE Hardware in Livonia, where she worked for 20+ years. Cora enjoyed time with her family, traveling, gardening, bowling, and the companionship of her cat, "Patches".
Cora is survived by her spouse, Terry Shay; son, Billy (Shelly) Vanstone; grandchildren, William and Jerica; brothers, Larry (Jackie) Whitehouse and Timmy Whitehouse; sister, Janie (Mike) Faupel; step-daughter, Kimberly Shay and daughter-in-law, Mandi Wiggins.
In addition to her parents, Cora was predeceased by her siblings, Diane (Larry) Kroenert, David (Kathy) Whitehouse, Danny Whitehouse, and her twin, Ora J. Whitehouse.
Private services will be held on Friday - August 7, 2020 at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 West Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48154. The service will conclude at the funeral home with the private burial scheduled for Monday - August 10, 2020 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
