Costanza "Connie" Di Mambro was born in Olivella, Italy, on January 11, 1924, to the late Carmine and Francesca D'Agostino. A strong, courageous woman, she was raised in Italy and lived through WWII. On October 2, 1947, she married the love of her life, Guido, and they began their life together.
Eleven years later, in 1958, Costanza made the brave journey to the United States with her two young daughters. She joined Guido, who immigrated 2 years prior, and they put down roots to begin their life in Metro Detroit.
A hardworking woman, Connie worked various jobs in addition to caring for her family, which grew to include two more daughters born in the United States. After her retirement at the age of 67, she dedicated herself to helping to raise the biggest joys of her life, her six grandchildren.
A caring and loving person, Costanza always opened her heart and her home to others. She loved spending time in the kitchen and baking her famous chocolate chip cookies for every family gathering.
Connie enjoyed taking leisurely walks and tending to her beloved flowers. When at family celebrations, Connie never missed an opportunity to share a dance and to sing with her loved ones.
