I'm so sorry to hear about Dan. I was looking forward to grabbing some Polish food with him again after the holidays. We shared a few interests including food, cars, and other hobbies. He will be greatly missed.

I always appreciated your sense of humor, your generosity and your wealth of knowledge. Thank you for being a great Godfather, Uncle Dan.  I'm sorry that I didn't get to spend more time with you.

Having lunch on several occasions at Henry Ford Community College, when all three of us were pursuing different career paths, were so enjoyable! They were fresh out of high school, while I was back in college trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I "grew up". Never knew Dan would become my nephew, but so grateful to have that "gentle giant" in our family circle. Now so sad that that circle has been broken. Thankfully we'll be reunited, just don't know when. Thanks Dan for being such a blessing to our family!!  Tears of joy and sadness being shed by many!
Aunt Marie and Uncle Gary will keep an eye on Linda for as long as we can.


One of Many Times...
Dan and I were up at the cabin in Beaverton. It was cold and we were  heading into town to pick up supplies. Dan was driving, We took a number of back roads to get there, we were in no hurry. As we turned onto another dirt road we saw a pickup truck off the side of the road. It wasn't running and the driver was bent over looking at the front tire. Dan looked at me, I knew exactly what he was thinking. We pulled over and got out. As we approached the driver we could see it was an older gentleman and he seemed frustrated at the flat tire he had. We offered to lend a hand. The driver seemed hesitant, almost cautious of us. As he turned to face us we could see his hands were crippled, like from arthritis. I don't believe he could have changed the tire on his own. He looked us over and agreed to our help. Dan and I got the old tire off and the new one on in no time. We left him happy and on his way.
As I got back into the car, I was now cold, dirty and feeling pretty good. 
I remember that day from 15 years ago, because that's what it was like to have Dan in your life. He was just a good man. We spent 20+ years together as friends and I am a better person because of him. 
That's just one of many times.

I worked with Dan on a long-term project for Ford Motor Company.  He was an absolute pleasure to work with and a such a   good person and family man.  He was so knowledgeable about so many subjects, including music and politics.   So very sorry for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and sibling.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.

Dan will be remembered as good friend. He always had time to share and teach. May he Rest in Peace with the Lord.
