At the young age of 55, David William passed away on April 27, 2018. Beloved husband of Janet. Loving father of Nikolaas and Sarah. Dearest brother of Allen. Predeceased by his loving parents, William Adamczyk and Rosemarie (Selakowski).
In his younger years, he had a newspaper route he started on his own, from the earnings he bought his first Schwinn bike. A 1982 Lakeview High School graduate, he had a passion for bass playing and played in the school jazz band.
In 1982 he joined the Army and was sent to serve in the 525 Ord Co. Siegelsbach Germany. There, he moved up the ranks to Specialist in the supply company. This same year, October 1, 1982, he married Janet (Beattie) and she followed him to Germany.
In 1984, he enrolled in Lawrence Institute of Technology to study mechanical engineering and received his degree in high honors in 1988. He enrolled in Wayne State University and received his Master of Science degree in Engineering Management in 2001. He immediately started work for Ford Motor Company Automatic Transmission Operations located off of Plymouth Road. Working for Ford gave him so many opportunities, traveling the world. From 48 states, Mexico, Venezuela, Europe, living in Belgium for 2 years, living in Cincinnati for 2 years, and living in China for 3 years (2014-2017). He worked his way up to becoming a manager and he loved his work.
David also had many hobbies. He loved camping with his family and played hockey on the Livonia men's over 30 league for D&G Heating and Cooling. He also loved his music playing the bass. David played in the Re-Runs, a parent band started at Holmes Middle School. He also played one year for Schoolcraft College jazz band. He loved riding his Harley, riding his bike, watching the Detroit Lions, listening to all types of music, reading, and cooking. His favorite type of food was Chinese and Polish. He also loved all automobiles.
David was a person who was busy from sun up to sun down. He was a perfectionist and was highly disciplined. He was so looking toward retirement May 31, 2018 and was planning on traveling, working with his son on his semi-trucks, helping Sarah with college, and spending time camping with his wife and relaxing.
Now God has taken him to his place of peace. He is resting, smiling, no more worries, God said he used his time well here on earth and it was time to return home.
