David George Dedeluk, 73, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026. Born on October 6, 1952, to George and Julia Dedeluk, he lived a life defined by dedication to his family, strong values, and a deep appreciation for the moments that mattered most.
He married his high school sweetheart, Joann Dedeluk, and they shared over 50 years of marriage together. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and shared experiences. They enjoyed traveling and going on adventures together, including a recent trip to Alaska, where they experienced the Northern Lights and dog sledding. He also had a passion for riding motorcycles, spending years exploring scenic routes and creating lasting memories along the way.
He was a hardworking and dedicated man who took great pride in providing for his family. More than anything, he showed his love through his actions. He was always present while his children were growing up, rarely missing a sporting event and offering unwavering support. Even as his children got older, he remained a steady source of support, always there to offer guidance or help wherever needed, or just be someone to talk to and lean on.
He shared a deep love of the outdoors with his family, creating lasting memories through summers spent camping, winters spent skiing, along with hiking, hunting, and fishing with those he loved most. He had a special bond with his son through their time spent hunting and fishing, traditions that were passed down and shared with his grandsons, and a special bond with his daughter through their hiking trips and travels. He adored his grandchildren and found so much joy in watching them grow into the people they are becoming, especially being at their sporting events and cheering them on. He also took great pride in watching his granddaughter grow into the person she is becoming- a confident young lady.
He also valued lifelong friendships from childhood that stood the test of time and meant a great deal to him.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Dedeluk; his children, Nick (Carley) Dedeluk and Dawn Dedeluk; his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Austin, Logan, and Roman; and many friends and family who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Julia Dedeluk, and his sister, Patricia A. Poupard.
His legacy is one of dedication, strength, and quiet, unwavering love.
A celebration of life will be held this summer. More details will be shared as they become available.
