Loving wife of John for over 67 years. Beloved mother of Denise (Craig Owen) Lovshe, Christine (Bill) Wojcik, and Nancy (Mike) Haske. Proud grandmother of Loegan, Taylor Lane (Hollis), Taylor James (Melanie), Steven (Kara), and Mary (Daniel). Cherished great-grandmother of two, plus one on the way.
In addition to her parents, Deede was preceded in passing by her brother, Bill.
Deede spent her career in various retail positions. She most enjoyed her time as an Estée Lauder sales representative for Jacobson's department stores throughout the state of Michigan. She finished her final working years as an assistant store manager at the Livonia Jacobson's location.
Deede will be remembered for her vibrant personality. She was known as the life of the party. She loved to dance, sing, and get into trouble with her friends. Most importantly, her family, especially her grandchildren, meant everything to her.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, October 11, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152, followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am. A livestream of the service will be available. She will be laid to rest at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Contributions in her memory are appreciated to Leader Dogs for the Blind or Angela Hospice, who took compassionate care of Deede in her final days. The Hassinger family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Beverly Rocha.
