Dennis Edward Bentz

Beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Married to Rosalyn for 37 years, and father to Kelly Moon, Kerry (Billy) Stevenson, and Alex (Kiren Chaudhry) Bentz. Loving brother to Brenda (Matt) Knizacky and Peggy (Ron) Little.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Marie (Asuma) and Raymond Albert Bentz. Sadly, his son, Kevin Bentz, passed away shortly after Dennis on July 19, 2025.

Dennis grew up in Ludington, Michigan. He attended Michigan Technological University, Michigan State University, and the University of Michigan. He began his career at Ford motor Company and would drive a Ford for the rest of his life. He left Ford to work for Stroh Brewery as a project manager, and would only drink a Stroh's product for the rest of his life. His daily choice for a beverage, though, was a Coca Cola, and most recently, a Cherry Coke.

Dennis loved all sports. He played golf and tennis throughout his life. He was especially proud of his hole-in-one while golfing with his neighborhood friends. He was a diehard Michigan State fan, and loved all the Detroit sports teams. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and made furniture that will be forever treasured by the family.

The family will receive friends at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 6 Mile Road in Livonia, on August 26 beginning at 3:00 PM followed by a prayer service at 6:00 PM.
