Dennis “Denny” James Wilchowski was born in Toledo, Ohio to John and Jennette Wilchowski. Denny, 73, passed on July 4, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a fighter who defied many odds throughout his life. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1993, he successfully underwent various treatments and beat odds on almost everyone.
He was a champion drag racer and won numerous car shows with his classic car, but his most recent purchase, his Cadillac, became his favorite car. Watching his two children in sports, hockey and gymnastics, was one of his greatest joys in life.
He loved cars, working in the garage, animals, and his family. He was a man’s man, you could always find him tinkering with something. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, son Jason (Tiffani and Jaxon) and daughter Sara (Todd) and his sister Gloria (John). As he enters Heaven, we hope he is washing cars and driving fast.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 12PM to 4PM followed by a funeral service at 4PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Denny may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation in his memory.
