Dolores Kluba

Dolly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Kluba; her siblings, Ronald Platek, Christine Heins, Gerald Platek, and Mary Ann Keeler; and her parents, Stella and Joseph Platek.

She leaves behind her three children, Kim (Phillip) Haddad, Brian (Theresa) Kluba, and Denise (Rick) Brown; six grandchildren, Ryan, Amanda, Lauren, Brandon, Natalie, and Shannon; and nine great-grandchildren, Andrew, Claire, Isabella, Ivy, Harper, Declan, Madison, Allison, and Noah.

Dolly was a devoted wife and mother who occasionally helped with the family business, Euclid Machine and Manufacturing. She was a member of St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church (formerly St. Theodore Catholic Church) for 64 years and was an active member of the parish choir, where she sang soprano. Her love of singing began in childhood when she sang in the children’s choir at St. Hedwig Elementary School and continued throughout her life.

Dolly also enjoyed swimming, water aerobics, and traveling. Some of her favorite destinations included Las Vegas, Aruba, Florida, and Hawaii.

Throughout her life, Dolly was known for her devotion to her family and for always being there when someone needed her. She lovingly cared for her husband, Bob, for many years as he faced kidney failure and dialysis. Whether organizing family gatherings, visiting a sick family member or friend, attending a funeral or special occasion, or simply being present during an important moment, Dolly could always be counted on to show up for the people she loved.

Dolly’s family would especially like to thank the caregivers at Maplecrest Care Center, where she spent the last year and a half and was truly treated as part of their family. The family would also like to thank Angela Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they provided during the final week of Dolly’s life. Her family is deeply grateful for the remarkable kindness and care she received from both Maplecrest and Angela Hospice.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 34567 W. Michigan Avenue, Wayne, Michigan 48184.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary, Cause of Our Joy Catholic Church, 8200 Wayne Road, Westland, Michigan. Family will begin receiving visitors at the church at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Immediately following the Funeral Mass, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at Angelo Brothers Ristorante & Banquet Hall, 33550 Ford Road, Westland, Michigan, to gather together and celebrate Dolly’s beautiful life and the many wonderful memories she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Dolly’s memory consider making a contribution to Angela Hospice in gratitude for the compassionate care they provided.
