Gabriella & Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember the summer of 2005 and teaching Dominic and Enzo how to swim. Dominic was five years old at the time, and learned so fast how to swim the whole length of the pool. They were both such sweet boys and Dominic was so eager to learn how to swim. I now have three boys of my own and my oldest is five, the same age when I met Dominic. I can’t bear the thought of loosing a child. My deepest condolences to your family.

Dominic was a student in my Farm Management class (ABM130) this Fall. Unfortunately, I only had the pleasure of having him in class on the very first day. His fellow classmates shared warm memories with me. He will be greatly missed by the Spartan family. On behalf of the ABM130 students and my family, I wish to convey our condolences to Dominic's family and loved ones. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lloyd and I have such warm memories of watching Dominic and the other kids playing at Dustin’s yearly birthday party gatherings. Both Enzo and Dominic were always there with sweet smiles on their faces and friendliness in their voices. We loved watching all of our kids jump in the blow ups together, enjoy cake and piñatas and have fun with their contagious childhood laughter and cheerful smiles. Parents to parents Lloyd and I extend our most authentic and heartfelt compassion for your loss. There is no greater love than that of a parent for a child and no greater sorrow than that of having to be separated from your child. We are so very very sorry for your suffering.

I was fortunate enough to be in Scouts with Dominic and can remember countless memories with him. One of the memories that sticks out to me is when we went backpacking in Glacier National Park. Being in the backcountry, away from all civilization, really makes you think about life. I remember having multiple conversations with Dominic about life, what he thought, what he wanted to do and everything in between. Although I knew Dominic before this trip, I really felt like I got closer to him and got to know him at a deeper level. After getting my Eagle Scout and graduating high school, we kind of fell out of touch, unfortunately. Last week though, he slid up on my Snapchat story and we had another long conversation about life and what we were up to. I’m extremely grateful that happened so I could talk to him one last time. I’ll never forgot the memories I had with Dominic. Rest easy buddy.

This is certainly a great loss to his classmates and I and to the entire community of Michigan State University. On behalf of my students and my family, I wish to convey our condolences to Dominic's family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.
