Donald D. "Don" Kehoe, of Livonia, passed away March 10, 2019 two days before his 79th birthday. Don was the oldest of three sons born to C.F. and Ruth E. (nee: Jenett) Kehoe. He graduated from Redford Union High School and spent his career on all things mechanical. He worked as an automobile mechanic, had built a drag racing car, along with model air planes and remote control airplanes. He was a member of the "Flying Pilgrims" RC Club since 1982. Flying was Don's passion and he became a licensed pilot. From the mid 1990's, Don was a crew member from May through September each year on a B-25 WW II Bomber, flown from it's home base at Detroit City Airport to various Midwest air shows. Each year, from January until May, when the shows started Don worked tirelessly polishing and tending to this aircraft. He was an avid NASCAR fan, spending every Sunday in front of the TV watching the various races and attended some races in person at Michigan International Speedway. His favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. Don was also an avid reader and enjoyed playing the occasional golf game.
Don is survived by his wife Pauline Condon-Kehoe, children, Cynthia (Mike) Elwart, Jeff Kehoe and Greg (Tanya) Kehoe; step-sons, Len (Jaylinn) Benfant, Rosie Mintz and Pete (Rhonda) Benfant, and brother Robert (Beverly) Kehoe. 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive.
