Donna was the beloved wife of Gerald Borgert, with whom she shared more than 40 years of marriage until his passing in 2003. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and adventure. She was a devoted mother to Kimberly Borgert and Lisa (Adam) Saluk, and a proud grandmother to Alyssa (Ben) Deniston and Joshua Saluk. Donna was also happy to know that her family was continuing to grow and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandchild, due in October 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Borgert; her parents, Howard and Elizabeth Westerberg; her brother, Robert Westerberg; and her son-in-law, William Harrison.
A gifted pianist and dedicated piano teacher, Donna shared her love of music with generations of students throughout her life. Teaching was more than a profession; it was a lifelong commitment. She continued teaching until well into her seventies and took pride in helping others develop their musical talents. She especially enjoyed attending classical and jazz concerts and appreciated the joy that music brought to her life.
Donna enjoyed spending time with friends through her card clubs and valued the friendships she maintained over the years. She and Gerald loved to travel and spent many years exploring the United States in their motorhome, creating memories with family along the way.
Family gatherings were important to Donna, and she enjoyed opening her home to family and friends throughout the year. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she looked forward to celebrating traditions and spending time with those she loved.
Donna will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her lifelong love of music, and the many lives she touched through her years of teaching. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons she taught, and the family she cherished.
