Dudgar Faye Goeman

Faye was preceded in death by Cecil B. and Alta M. Moore (mother and father), Leo and Phyllis Liss (inlaws), Gerald L. Goeman (husband), and several aunts and uncles.

Faye was survived by Dennis J. Liss (life partner), daughters Martha Casing (Richard), Melanie Martin (Gerard), Shannon Goeman (Kat), brother Jerry Moore (Carol), sister Barbara Caudill (Charlie), grandchildren Richard, Amanda Casing, Eric, Anthony Martin.

Dudgar, best known as Faye, was a high school graduate of Cherry Hill High School Class of 1963. She attended Schoolcraft College studying liberal arts. She was married. Had three children and was sadly widowed at an early age. She managed to raise a young family as a single mother for several years until she met Dennis Liss who became a loving father to her children. Faye enjoyed spending time with her family. She cherished moments with her grandchildren and delighted in their accomplishments through the years. Her battles with ill health took a toll on her mobility through the years. She was 5-year cancer survivor. Determined to survive, she fought a hard battle with the help of her life partner, Dennis, who offered love, care and support.

Faye valued hard work, independence and strength. In addition to raising a family, she was a successful small business owner and professional cake artist for much of her adult life. She was especially skilled in the creation of sophisticated and often complex wedding cakes. Faye's artistic talents can be seen in her many oil and acrylic paintings which invoke a sense of nostalgia. She most enjoyed painting rustic land and water scenes, elegant flowers and still life with her long time circle of local artist friends. Faye was a remarkable woman of many talents; a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, sister, a loyal friend. She will be truly missed by all who knew her well.

A visitation for Dudgar will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Homes, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 7, 2022 at Harry J Will Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dudgar's memory may be made to Livonia Benevolent Association Police Officers, 15050 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Michigan.
