Eduardo Muñoz Perou, born in Bolivia in 1924, died on August 1, 2018 in Michigan, which had been his home for 68 years. The loving son of Carlos Muñoz Roldan and Blanca Perou Schmidt, he was a proud second generation graduate of the University of Michigan's school of engineering. He dedicated his career to the glass division at the Ford Motor Company, where he worked for over 30 years. He had a long and happy marriage to Katty Sierra, who predeceased him in 2008, and was the loving father of Cristina (married to James Sunstrum) Eduardo (Eddie, married to Janet Varon) Miguel, and Cecilia (married to Amit Pandya). He was adored by his grandchildren, Greg and Dan Sunstrum, Becca Varon (married to Sam Blau), Laura Muñoz, and Tina and Meera Muñoz Pandya. He was one of seven siblings, two of whom survive him, Rafael (married to Maria Elena) and Carmen, and a much-loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. His family will remember him for teaching them to love music, poetry, travel, history, and most of all each other.
Visitation will be at Harry J. Will Funeral Home on Six Mile Road in Livonia on Sunday, August 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 with a memorial service at 7:00. Funeral will be at St. Aidan's parish in Livonia, on Monday, August 13 at 9:30 AM, followed by lunch at Harry J. Will Funeral Home.
His remains will be interred alongside his beloved Katty at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Michigan Opera Theater.
