She was the cherished daughter of Milner (Frances) Hawes and the late Velma Hawes.
Elaine is survived by her beloved husband of over 52 years Richard Allsteadt and her children David (Connie) Hawes and Lori (Craig) Rosenbaum. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Chandler (Gary) Adams, Will (Rachel) Hawes, Skyler Belmonte, Leila Hawes, Katie Hawes and Robbie Rosenbaum. Elaine's heart was especially full with the arrival of her great-granddaughter Ella Hawes.
Elaine was a sister in the truest sense steadfast and caring to Geri Whitfield, Bruce (Jury) Hawes and Gary (Nancy) Hawes. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral visitation for Elaine will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17810 Farmington Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Elaine will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Memorial Gardens.
