Eleanor Walters (Reinsch), age 97, passed peacefully on December 4, 2018 at her residence at Brighton Gardens in Northville. She is survived by daughter Sharyl Weber (John) of Dallas, TX and son Robert Walters (Donna) of Northville, MI. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Robert (1990). She is the beloved grandmother of John Robert Weber (Andrea) of Dallas TX, Julie Howell (Jason) of Northville, and Amy Mortiere (Jason) of Northville. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Preston, Nicolette, Carter and John, and is aunt to her late brother Earl’s four daughters.
Eleanor was easy to talk to and possessed the gift of making friends quickly. Laughter was central to her life’s enjoyment. She was a regular member of the Lutheran Church since childhood and was always active in church choir in her younger days. As she grew older she was a regular participant in the 50+ organization and also wrote for the church newsletter at Faith Lutheran in Troy. At Risen Christ Lutheran Church in Plymouth Eleanor attended whenever transportation and health permitted. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and looked forward to every visit.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 8th from 10 am to noon at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Rd, Livonia. At noon, her pastor, Rennie Kaufmann from Risen Christ Lutheran Church will provide a brief service with remarks, music and memories. Burial will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia next to her beloved husband Robert.
