Liz, I just received an email about your mom’s passing. I am so sorry to hear that news. I knew her health had been failing in recent years. I noticed in her obituary that she was the same age as Les is. I know you and your siblings will miss her very much.
Take care, warmly,

Liz was very loved by our family for as long as I can remember.
My dad, Don Zeitler, met Roland Aragona in the Army around 1950 while they were stationed in Germany together and they became great friends for life. They were both mess hall cooks and had many stories that they shared, not always with us kids of course, but it made for a special bond and love between them that lasted forever.
Back home, we attended the marriage of Roland and Liz and they shared a special friendship with Peggie and Don Zeitler through the many miles that separated them...Wisconsin - Michigan. That never stopped them from always staying in touch as I remember several long car trips in the late '50s, when I was about 5 years old, to visit them in Michigan. They would come to Wisconsin to see us as well and eventually to our home in Clearwater, Florida . (Angie just reminded me of the Florida visit to the Zeitlers house where the families had gotten so large that mom had to convert the garage in order to get a spot for everyone to sleep!) Fun it was!
As both of our families grew and grew, our times together were few but always fun and very special. I personally will always carry a real love for both Liz and Roland Aragona in my heart.
God bless all of the Aragona Family at this time.
