Eugene Rizzo

Eugene Frank Rizzo was born January 4, 1932 in Central City, Pennsylvania to Salvatore and Theresa Rizzo. He graduated from the University of Michigan and remained a loyal fan of the U of M football team throughout his life. Eugene served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a Certified Public Accountant for several different companies among his own, Eugene F. Rizzo and Associates.

Eugene will be remembered as a friendly, social man who had a great smile. Whether at work or out for dinner he always made friends and met new people. Of course, his favorite people to be with were his children and grandchildren. Whether at parties or anywhere else, he treasured the time spent with his family. He also loved traveling to Las Vegas, watching horse races and a good cigar or martini.

Eugene is the loving husband of 50 years to Janet and the devoted father to Marty (Beth), Greg (Kathy), Pam (Kurt) Keller, Bryan and David. He is the dear grandfather of Mark, Kevin, Amy, Greg, Ari and Travis. Eugene will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation For Eugene will be Tuesday September 13, 2011from 5-9 pm and Wednesday September 14, 2011 from 2-9 pm with a Rosary Service at 7 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48152. The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile and east of Newburgh and I-275.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday September 15, 2011 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 11411 Hubbard St. Livonia, MI 48150. Eugene will lie in state at the church from 10 am until the funeral Mass at 10:30 am celebrated by Fr. William Tindall. The church is located on the south side of Plymouth Road between Merriman and Farmington Roads.
