Daughter of the late William John Stevenson and Beryl Irene Underwood. Died peacefully with her daughter at her side on May 7, 2014. Married Ward Everett Clemens on February 14, 1941. He died January 31, 1997 in Florida. Moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1983 from Livonia, Michigan. Mrs. Clemens returned to Michigan in the fall of 2013. Survived by her daughter and primary caregiver Darlene Cairns (Kirk) of Livonia and he son Ronald W. Clemens (Nancy) of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and her daughter- in- law Sheryl McDowell Clemens of Farmington. Two sisters, Ruth Ann Stevenson Rogers of Shelby Twp. And Shirley Stevenson Howard (Lewis) of Westland, Six grandchildren, Christina Clemens Cardot (Gary) of Norwich, Connecticut, Jeffrey Clemens of Chesterfield Twp., Cyndi Cairns Dornan (Matt) of Perrysburg, Ohio, Scott Cairns (Kim) of Milford, Jason Clemens (Lisa) of Farmington Hills and Melissa Cairns Moore (Andrew) of Clarkston, ten great-grandchildren Viktoria McCormack, Mikah, Aleksandria and Kassandra Cardot, Adam and Cooper Devon, William and Elise Cairns, Jack Clemens and Lillian Moore. One great-great granddaughter Anastasia Maguire, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Ward; her son Barry Ward Clemens; her sister Audrey Stevenson Jolliffe; two brothers, Winston and Weldon Stevenson; and two grandsons David and Jonathan Clemens. Mrs. Clemens graduated from Redford Union High School and was employed thereafter as a bookkeeper for Farmington Methodist Church in the Livonia area and 20 years at R and R Products in Novi. Her greatest pleasure was her family and she enjoyed receiving photos of them. She was feted at a 90th birthday party in 2011in Florida given by her daughter, son and daughter-in-law where she got to meet the triplets for the first time. She was talented with crafts and handwork and took pleasure in giving afghans to new great grandchildren and great- great granddaughter. Eunice was always cooking and baking for family. She enjoyed bird watching and feeding and her church ladies groups in Florida.
Memorials apprecaited to Leader Dogs for the Blind, Rochester Hills, MI or to the National Audubon Society.
Services have taken place and Eunice will be laid to rest beside her husband at Florida National Cemetery on Friday May 23, 2014.
