Evdokia "Eva" Dimitriou, 90, of Livonia passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019. Eva was born on May 22, 1929, in Florina, Greece to Daniel & Evangelia Themelkou, the youngest of their five girls. She met her beloved husband Nikolaos in Florina and were married on Feb. 11, 1951. They, along with their three children, immigrated to the United States in 1967. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed her garden, however, her life revolved around the happiness of her family always putting them first.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Artemis Dimitriou, sons, Chris (Kathy) and John (Lisa) Dimitriou, seven grandchildren, Nikolas Dimitriou, Kristi (Cory) Maurer, George (Melissa) Dimitriou, Jim (Katie) Dimitriou,
Nikolas Dimitriou, Olivia Dimitriou, and Christian Dimitriou; five great-grandchildren, Avery and Caden Maurer, Colette and Charlie Dimitriou and Stella Dimitriou.
In addition to her parents and four sisters, Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband Nikolaos in 2007.
Friends may visit on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Trisagion service will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 West Six Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48152. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 39851 Five Mile Road, Plymouth, Michigan 48170.
