OBITUARY

Florence "Mae" Yeomans

January 28, 1928March 12, 2020

Florence "Mae" Yeomans was born January 28, 1928 and passed away March 12, 2020 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Russell. Proud mother of Russ (Mary) Yeomans, Florence "Mary" (Daniel) Zonca and Deborah (Joseph) Zapasnik. Cherished grandmother to her "Hunnies" Hunnie #1 Jason (Gracie), Hunnie #2 Derrick, Hunnie #3 Sean (Ashlee) and Hunnie #4 Matthew. Dearest great grandmother of her additional hunnies Elliana and Tramden. She is preceded in death by her late sibilings Edward, William, Joyce, Thomas and James.

Mae was known as "Nana" to everyone. She had such a giving heart and volunteered for 20+ years at the Senior Center. When a Detroit Tigers game was on everyone knew not to bother her until the game was over, she enjoyed keeping score whether they were doing good or not their best that day. She was a member of the "go getters club" and loved traveling with them. Mae will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday March 16th from 2-8pm with a 7pm rosary at Harry J Will Funeral Home. Funeral mass on Tuesday March 17th at 11:00am (in state 10:15am) at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Livonia. In lieu of flowers donations in Mae's honor can be made to Dementia Society of America.

Larry Murphy

March 16, 2020

With great sadness and deepest sympathy, we remember and celebrate the life of our family matriarch. Aunt Mae has always been the bright and shining light of the Murphy clan, bringing joy, laughter and history to any gathering. From the Rumoli games of years gone by, to the poker games at Mom & Dad's, to the most recent gathering at Laura's last summer; she brought a rich and honoured presence to all of our lives.
Russ, Mary, Debbie and families - Our thoughts are with you at this time of loss with prayers for peace and strength.
