Gene J. Carrier passed away December 17, 2016. Beloved husband of Geraldine. Loving father of Brian (Kathleen), John, Jeff (Caroline), and Kenneth. Dear grandfather of Kristi, Sean, Olivia, and Ethan. Cherished brother of James (Cheryl) and Jerome (Janice). Brother in law of the late Ronald (Patricia) Walczak.
Gene worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served a total of 8 years. He and his wife Geraldine were members of St. Maurice Church in Livonia for over 30 years until the time of the church’s closing. Gene was also very proud to have been an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 32 years- taking his sobriety and life one day at a time.
Visitation Tuesday, December 20 from 4-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. Funeral Mass Wednesday, December 21 at 10:30am (in state at 10am) at Resurrection Parish 48755 Warren Road in Canton. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Capuchin Order of St. Joseph 1820 Mt. Elliott St. in Detroit.
