George S. Ziadeh

George is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Rima as well as his five children Rania (Jean), Donna (George), Johnny (Joanna), Amanda (Robert) and Jason. He is the loving grandfather of seven grandchildren Lillian, Anthony, Jonathan, Natalie, Jacob, Mikayla and Luciana. George is also survived by his two brothers Karim and Bishara and was preceded in death by his sister, the late Mary.

George came to the United States in 1971 and worked for the Ford Motor Company for all of his career. He loved making wine, hot sauces, spaghetti sauces, canning as well antiques. He enjoyed fishing and Arabic movies. George will be remembered as funny, loving and caring man who was very loyal to his friends. Prayer was always important to him and he did it before doing anything.

Friends may visit George’s family during a visitation in his honor on Sunday July 1, 2012 at the Basilica of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 18100 Merriman in Livonia, Michigan 48152 from 6 pm until the Trisagion prayers at 8:00 pm.

Funeral services for George will be held at the Basilica on Monday July 2, 2012. He will lie in state from 9 am until his funeral service at 10 am. George will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan.
