Loving father of Joshua (Megan), Brett, and Lauren (Michael) Davis. Proud grandfather of Josia, Kyler, Ashton, Lyla, Sawyer, Violet, and Dawson. Cherished brother of Debbie (Todd) Stone.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Patricia.
Gerald earned a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Michigan in 1975 and a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1978. He later served as a full-time law professor at Simon Greenleaf University School of Law in Anaheim (1992–1994), where students named him Teacher of the Year.
Gerald founded the LONANG Institute in 1999 to develop a biblical law curriculum and to digitize classic natural-law treatises, most notably Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws of England.
His published works include three books—America’s Heritage: Constitutional Liberty, Legal Foundations: Framework of Law, and Politics and Prophecy: A Lawyer’s View of the End Times—plus commentaries on Genesis and Romans and two dozen additional essays. He also participated in more than twenty-seven amicus briefs and related advocacy letters.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, October 3, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152, followed by a memorial service beginning at 12:00 pm.
