Geraldine Cheryl Nickerson

Geraldine "Geri" Cheryl Nickerson, 64, passed away peacefully at her home in Livonia, Michigan on January 20, 2021 after a seven year battle with cancer. Married on September 21,1984 she is preceded in death by husband Daniel M. Nickerson. A loving mother, she is survived by her four children; Chris, Michelle, Jennifer, and Mike.

Geri worked as an engineer at Ford Motor Company in the climate control department prior to raising a family. A meticulous gardener, she knew everything about plants and loved spending time outdoors with her giant flowerbeds. Geri was generous with her time, volunteering her creativity and leadership talents to many causes over the years.

Geri is additionally survived by her brothers; Henry (Cheryl), Marian (Peg), Gerald (Dawn), and Christopher (Michelle) Danowski. She was preceded in death by her parents Wanda and Henry Danowski.

Services will be scheduled for a later date when her family and friends can safely gather and pray together.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Geri at St. Colette. As music minister, I worked with her to produce many children’s Christmas Eve pageants. She was wonderful and we were blessed to have her talents and friendship. My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. God bless you.
