Joe is a big part of my memories of American Motors. He used to "hold court" at lunch time in his office while we all gathered to hear his stories, many of which were about his family... and Tess' cooking. He was very proud of all of you. Joe was loved by all of us and will be sorely missed.

Barry and Cathy,

While we will not be attending the memorial service, we wanted you to know that our thoughts are with you today. Since we had only met your Dad a couple of times, it was nice to learn a little more about him from the Obituary and the other postings on this site. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow, and sharing time with you during a more enjoyable event. Steve and Loraine

My husband and I lived next door to Joe and Tess for 5 years and , when we moved, I think leaving them was one of the hardest parts. I learned so much from Joe about gardening, bird feeders, airplanes...and so on. He was so engaged in life. It was a pleasure to have know him. We would all have our Sunday morning coffee together and listen to Andre Bocelli on the stereo. I will always remember those times fondly.

Mr. Demers will be greatly missed. His warm smile. His stories told with just a hint of that east coast accent. His never failing to ask others how they were--no matter what he may have been undergoing these last few years. We were blessed to have him in our lives.

God....thank you for blessing me with such a wonderful father. His love for our family was so strong. I will always remember the great times we had like watching him build his airplane, the doll house he made for Judy, and riding my jet-ski across Higgins 84 years of age! His faith in you was im-measureable. His love for mom was inspirational...68 years of marriage...five kids, 10 grand kids, 4 great grand thats love! His stories of years gone by were always a treat....his smile would always trigger others around him smile.... Thank you God for blessing our family with the great gift of Dad!
