James "Jumbo" Abraham

November 18, 1942 – December 1, 2019

James "Jumbo" Abraham, age 77, passed away December 1, 2019. Loving father of Kristi (Michael), Jeff (Shannon), and Stacy (Bob). Cherished grandfather of Josh, Mckena, Lily, Riley, Jillian, and Jacob. Dearest brother of Danny (Linda) and the late Billy and Barbara "Bobbie".

Visitation will be Thursday, December 5 from 4-8 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, Livonia. Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 6 at NOON (In state at 11am) also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations appreciated to the Michigan Humane Society.

I remember Jim from High School days and the Labelle recreation center across from their family store around the time when he dated my sister, Cheryl. My family all thought he was great - friendly, handsome, athletic - he had it all. Some times when he came over he would show me a card 'trick' or two to help prevent me from being cheated by any of the several possibly untrustworthy gamblers that hung around the recreation center. I remember Jim was the king bowler there throwing the occasioinal perfect (300) game. Unfortunately, the last time I saw him was probably around '69 when he saw me on Woodward in H.P. and gave me a lift to 7 mile. While we were driving a Dionne Warwick song happened to come on and he mentioned to me how much he liked it. Shortly after, he dropped me off said 'take care' and that was the last time I remember seeing him. I have seen brother Danny from time to time though. May he rest in peace, and best wishes for the family.
