James Arthur Brown (Jim), 92 of Brighton, Michigan died peacefully April 1, 2014 surrounded by his family. Jim Brown was born to Helen and James Brown on July 20, 1921 in Toronto, Canada. He moved to Michigan as a child and became a naturalized citizen. He served in the Air Force as an air traffic controller in the Philippines during World War II. After the war, he was a proud member of Local 58 of the I.B.E.W. for over 65 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen McDonough Brown. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Jeanne Block-Brown, daughters Barbara Began (Ned), Sheryl Pardue, and son James Keely Brown (Pam), grandsons, Brian Began, Steve Pardue, Jason Began (Traci), Dan Began (Silvana), and Michael Began (Michele). He has 5 great-daughters and one great-grandson.
