James Peter Cooper

James Peter Cooper passed away on November 11 at 91. Born in Bield, Manitoba, Canada he worked for the Hudson Bay Company in Moose Factory, Ontario before joining the Canadian Army. Following his service he attended Western Ontario University earning a Bachelor’s Degree. After school he worked for the Hygrade Company and Detroit Edison. In his free time he coached youth hockey and enjoyed playing cards (15-2, 15-4 . . .).

A dedicated and loving family man he was the loving husband of Lola for 66 years. Cherished father of Christine (John) Ossenmacher, James “Bill” (Gail) Cooper and Peter (Rina) Cooper. Proud grandpa of Carrie Cooper, Ryan (Becky) Ossenmacher and Maggie (Jordan) Bibbings and great-grandpa of Lola and Finley Ossenmacher. Also survived by dear brother Clarence (Sylvia) Cooper. Beloved brother-in-law of Larry (Joy) Park, Alice (Bob) Parker and Susan Park. He also leaves behind many loving extended family members and friends.

A private celebration of his life is planned at a later date, but the family would like to thank the staff at Arden Court for their kind care and love.
