Jim was my closest cousin when we were children and although we didn't see a lot of each other in our later years my memories of him will stay with me forever.  He took great pleasure in making me laugh in church - which we all know is a no-no,  In spite of that I loved him and looked forward to his visits. Cousin Helen from Canada

Dear Silvi Family,
So many fond memories of times spent together up at Higgins Lake, lead by our Dads stoking the bomb-fires at night with their Strohs in hand, white t-shirts and jeans, chuckling about "the shop". I wonder who ended up with "the string"? Prayfully "Uncle" Jim and my Mom will have plenty of time to plan another string caper, in a higher place, for another Life. In the meantime, I'll be praying for your healing hearts. I love you all dearly.

I will miss you, Uncle Jim. I consider my self a better person for having known you. I take comfort in  knowing that you are reunited with Gran, Nana, Dad, Uncle Don and all the other family members who have gone before you. Rest in peace and I hope to see you again someday.

Dear Aunt Marge, Dennis, Carol and Kathi: Uncle Jim was such a great man and wonderful uncle. He always had a fun story to tell, and he was an expert storyteller. I can't remember a time when Uncle Jim wasn't there as part of our family, enjoying time with his brothers and family and sharing stories about all the pranks and jokes they played on people. He truly was a gentle soul, a kind man, and an honorable, gracious, intelligent man who was devoted to his family. We were so lucky to have him in our family. He was one of the leaders who made the Silvi name what it is to us today and was one of our top role models. He will never, ever be forgotten. We love you, Uncle Jim. xoxo

Dear Marge:  It's been many years since I've had the pleasure of seeing you and Jim, but I still feel a sense of loss knowing that he has passed on.  He, along with Chuck P, was one of my first mentors at Ford.  His wisdom, humor, and knowledge were so valuable to me.  There's a soft part of my heart with his name on it.  You and your family are in my prayers as you deal with this painful loss.  "Grieve not too long that he is gone, but rejoice forever that he was."

Dearest Marge and Family:  Our thoughts and prayers are will you all!  No words can express how saddened Steve and I were when we heard the news. May your wonderful memories provide the strength you need to get through this difficult time. We have so many heart-warming memories of time spent with this kind, gentle man during work, after work and also on those other special occasions like Our Wedding, New Year's Eve, Milestone Birthdays and Anniversaries. Oh the laughter we shared when we would stop and have "one" cocktail before we headed home from work and then found ourselves playing Liar's Poker or just listening to the stories and the deep-seeded wisdom of this man we respected more than anything!  He would always calmly speak with that little smirk of a grin as he watched my husband get worked up over silly things...from his "I'm a gentleman and a scholar and a fine judge of whiskey" to his chanting of "men, men, men, men....." to his cleverly folded dollar bills and talks of the daily crossword puzzles.......what I wouldn't give to sit and listen to those conversations again!!!!  You have touched our lives in so many ways Jim and Marge Silvi -- more than you will ever know! Send us a rainbow to let us know you arrived in heaven safely. I'm hoping my Dad was there to greet you with a nice bottle of Italian wine!!!  Until we meet again dear friend! Love Joann, Steve, Grant, Noah and Jacob!

My heart is surely suffering to hear of Jim's passing.  He was a great friend and co-worker. We would eat lunch together and then take a long walk around Ren Cen.  God Bless you all. Sorry I can't come from Las Vegas to say goodbye to him.

I am so sorry Marge, Dennis, Carol and Kathy.  He was such a great guy!  So many happy memories.  You are all in my heart and prayers.

Our hearts are saddened today, yet filled with the loving memories of our dear "Uncle" Jim.  Higgins Lake vacations, with Jim scaling the fish while dispensing the best puns ever will remain one of my fondest memories. God bless all the family and friends who will remember you with love.
