Jay Raymond Wells

Loving father of Kimberley Croy and Jay (Annamaria) Wells. Proud grandfather of Cassandra Gess, Austin Gess, Alec Wells, Andrew Wells, Brooke Mirabitur, Eve Mirabitur, and Cade Mirabitur.

Jay spent his career as an industrial and software engineer for various companies, including Burroughs Corp., Budd Company, Chrysler Corp., General Dynamics Corp., and E.D.S. He was a lifelong member of the Metropolitan-Redford Masonic Lodge, earning the titles of 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Shriner, and Past Master Councilor of Palistine DeMolay. He also belonged to the Northville American Legion and supported Focus: HOPE for 13 years.

Jay stopped and rested this final time, and

God saw he was getting Tired

And he had lived many very, very happy years

The happiness was not to be anymore

So God put his arm around him and whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes, he wrote this epitaph,

And started to fade away.

Although the kids loved him dearly,

They could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands to rest,

God broke the hearts of loved ones to prove that he only takes the best.
