Jeanette Lynn Allen, age 62, passed away March 28, 2013. She was the dearest wife of Patrick Allen, beloved mother of Ann Marie Mason, and the late Jason Allen, cherished grandmother of Cody and Luke Mason, precious daughter of the late Lois and Ben Belsley, and caring sister of Larry (Elaine) Belsley, Linda (John) Reardon, Steve (Patti) Belsley, and Sally (Ron) Blaszczyk.
Jeanie graduated from Redford Union High School in 1968. Her kindness, ready smile and positive attitude drew people to her. She was popular as a cheerleader and elected to homecoming court. It was in high school that she caught the eye of classmate Patrick Allen. The high school sweethearts married in 1969. They enjoyed a very loving supportive marriage for 43 years.
At the age of 24, Jeanie was baptized and committed her life to the Lord. She was a devoted member of the Apostolic Christian Church for 38 years. Her faith and love for the Lord, along with serving and caring for others, was an inspiration to many. Her selfless giving was reflected in her determination to encourage and advocate for anyone struggling with life’s difficulties. Her compassion provided hope and a ray of sunshine to many strangers, family and friends.
Jeanie loved nature and working outside. Her flower garden was beautiful. She willingly helped others with their work and shared positive energy with family and friends.
Jeanie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wonderful friend. You could always count on her focused energy to help wherever needed. Her family, relatives and many friends will miss her dearly and cherish her legacy of love and kindness.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Harry J. Will funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152. Visitation hours are Sunday, March 31, 2013, from 2-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the Apostolic Christian Church, 29575 Wentworth Ave., Livonia, MI, on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., following a short visitation at the church starting at 1:30 p.m.

The family is Grateful to God for Jeanie. She was a wonderful example of God’s love. We appreciate your love, kindness and prayers during Jeanie’s illness. Your cards, flowers, meals and visits were a comfort for Jeanie and a blessing for our family.
