

Jeanne, formerly of Chicago, Illinois and La Porte, Indiana, succumbed after a long illness. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William; and five children, Patrice (Jack) Young of St. Cloud, Florida, Daniel (Karri) Dosmann of Columbus, Ohio, Mark Dosmann of New Port Richey, Florida, Christine Dosmann of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Matthew (Lisa) Dosmann of Annapolis, Maryland. After her only sibling, Annette, preceded her in death, Jeanne treated her daughter, Pamela (Tim) Bouchard, and her son, Steven (Nina) Rice, as her own. Jeanne was a beloved grandmother of eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and fervently supported them in every way. An active volunteer, Jeanne was involved in her youth with the Julia Dent Grant Tent of the GAR, served in various leadership capacities with the March of Dimes, Brownies and Girl Scouts, and established the first Webelos Scout troop at Chapel School in São Paulo, Brazil. She gave freely of her time to her parishes at St. Kevin's and Gesu in Detroit, and Escola Maria Imaculada (Chapel) in São Paulo. Jeanne retired from the Internal Revenue Service where she conscientiously worked to resolve taxpayers' issues fairly. She was an enthusiastic participant in the Women's Health Initiative (WHI). Jeanne shared her lifelong enjoyment of sports with her family, an avid fan of basketball, hockey and soccer. She was a passionate reader who passed that gift on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Jeanne will be held at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, from 1-8 p.m. on Monday, December 8.Funeral service Tuesday, in state10 a.m. until time of Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Colette Catholic Church in Livonia.
