Born in Dearborn, MI on March 28, 1929 to Leo and Elizabeth Mathieu. Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Paul Scheuher.
She was the dear mother of four sons, William (Lori), Brendan, Joel (Cyndi), and Jeffrey; grandmother of Kelby, Megan, Samuel, and Paul; and great-grandmother of Halo. She was preceded in death by her brother James Mathieu and survived by her sister Janet Mathieu. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Joan very much enjoyed raising her boys and entertaining family and friends. Many smiles and memories were made surrounding her kitchen table. She was always available to offer advice, but only when asked. She was creative with any task, and enjoyed cooking, sewing and bowling. She shared her talents by volunteering her time at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia. She was smart, funny, and "loved you more".
Visitation for Joan will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, Michigan 48170 with a funeral mass at 12:00 PM. Joan will be laid to rest at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, 34205 5 Mile Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48154.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to St Vincent De Paul Society, 3000 Gratiot Ave, Detroit, Michigan 48207; and Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, Michigan, 48154.
