Joe Durso

Joseph Phillip Durso "Joe" passed away on July 14, 2016 at the age of 72. Joe was the loving husband of Bonnie for 40 years. He was the beloved father of Anthony (Desiree) Durso and Dominique (Paul) Lucas. The cherished grandfather of Connor Lucas, Charlotte Lucas, and baby Cecilia Durso on the way. The dear brother of Carmen (Pat) Durso. The adored uncle of Chris Durso, Kathy (Rob) Sanders and Tracey Durso-Walper and great uncle of Evie Walper. Joe was also the beloved honorary father of Lisa Kaiser.

Joe proudly served in the US navy as a radio operator. He then spent over 50 years in real estate. Joe was the owner and broker of Global Reality, and the associate broker for Re/Max Classic in Novi. Many thought of Joe as a workaholic, but he knew how to have fun. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, an occasional rummage sale and loved to dance to loud music.

Joe was a fun-loving person who would help anyone out in their time of need, was known for his quirky sense of humor, was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at Ward Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 40000 Six Mile Road in Northville. Friends may visit the church beginning at 10:00 am.
