I just told Mom about Joe's death this afternoon, soon after I learned of it. We are both so terribly sorry. He is gone too soon.

My memories of Joe, like Stewart's, center on Cassie and Granddaddy's house. Long afternoons playing the back yard or watching old movies in the living room while our mothers' fixed huge dinners--so huge, we had to eat in shifts. Christmases where the pile of presents under the tree was bigger than the children who gathered around it.

We will remember Joe and the happy times we shared. May his memory be a blessing.

I just heard about this today. I'm so sorry.

I recall the last time I saw Dillie Ray and his family, at their home in SW Virginia. Apparently, I just missed seeing Joe. I guess that was my last chance.

Many fond memories, mostly of getting in trouble at Cassie's house. I was always excited to see Uncle Dill & Aunt Gloria's car when we came to visit--I knew we would have a blast, especially if Cindy and Christine were also there.
