John Niwa

Loving brother of Anne Wendrick, Lorraine (Kenneth) Boore, and David Niwa. Cherished uncle of Eric (Cathy) Wendrick, Brenda (David) Seger, Laurie (Matthew) Boore-Clor, MD, Marianne (Scott) Denault, Karen Boore, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in passing by his sister, Marcia, and brother-in-law, Ed.

John graduated from the University of Detroit High School ahead of earning his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University. He spent 29 years of his career at Holy Redeemer Elementary School and 41 years with H&R Block.

In his younger years, John was an active member of the Boys Club. He will be remembered for his love for animals and his kind and thoughtful spirit.

John will lie in state on Friday, September 11, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at St Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI 48154, followed by a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at St Hedwig Cemetery.
