John was a proud veteran and served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt. He worked 40 years as an industrial electrician at the Ford Rouge Steel Company. His enjoyment in skeet shooting, hunting, reading Hemingway and writing poetry filled his spare time. John lived his life by the saying "You must endure!" and the Bible passage Psalm 37:3 "Trust in the LORD and do good." He has left his footprints on our hearts.
