We met John through the American Fence Association, he was a great supporter of the AFA. He was always friendly and kind, and showed concern for others before himself. He was fun loving, but he also knew what he was talking about, he didn't say a lot, but when he did, it was well thought out and everyone listened, and always had great respect for John, he was a giant in the fence industry and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends. Lyle and Debra Buchanan, Sandy, Utah.

Mr. Randolph; Here's to him ......
- For his service to our country;
- For the guidance, mentoring, and personal support he has provided me since going to work for him in 1971;
- For "being there" when, at the age of 19, I lost my Dad ...... and all these years since;
- For "leading by example" by being tough and principled when he had to be, but a gentle and loving man;
- For his unwavering work ethic and personal mantra ...... "just keep moving ahead!"
Here's to you, "Mr. Randolph"!!!
Thank you ...... and congratulations on a life well-lived!

There are so many nice things to say about John Randolph but I think everyone who knows him already knows them. I really am writing to post this photo of John with my sister, Janet (famous for her German Chocolate cupcakes that John liked) and myself (left) on January 13, 2018, 2 days after John's 94th birthday. Three generations in our family knew John and we all feel the same--we so enjoyed him and will miss him terribly. He was such a good friend to all of us.

John was my friend and frequent lunch date. He lived an independent life for 94 years. He always called me "love," which was endearing. I hope they have See's chocolates for you in heaven, sweet man.

In 2015, I worked with John and Donna Binns-Gordan, RN, who ran the Cardiac Rehab service at what is now Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills on a story that ran on the front page of the Farmington Observer. I took this photo of John and Donna in Cardiac Rehab on John's 91st birthday.

If you'd like a link to the story, please email Elizabeth.montalvo@beaumont.org. I would have included the link here, but there is a rule about not including copyrighted material in a memory.
