John Melchior Vogeli V, age 76, passed away on July 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Janice for 56 years, and a devoted dad to John (Cyndy), Michael (Jodi), and Andrew (Reina). He was a proud grandfather to Seth, Lucas, Maya, Joshua, Joel, Aiden, and William.
John was also a dear brother to Mitchell (late Terri) and Craig (Sandy), and a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He spent much of his career working for Grand Trunk Railroad before retiring. Outside of work, John enjoyed bowling, painting, drawing, catching movies with Janice, and was very active in his Church. He was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and had strong ties to Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church.
John will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 2 to 8 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11 AM (in state at 10 AM) at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Cemetery
