The Walker Family
I see that John served our country. I don't know if I knew him personally, but I know his brothers Jim and Ray . I wish I would of because if he was half as nice as his two brothers he must of been one great man. It's nice to know that there are still great families like yours. I salute John and your whole family. My condolences, sarrow, and prayers.

John boy ~ Hey its your nephew Jimmer, i just wanted to say how much fun i had with you growing up and learning the ways of the Walker family. You always seem to make light of the moment whether times were tough or easy going. I remember how much you enjoyed NASA , and the ionizer you had in the van that was on the dash to make the air cleaner..., when i was a young man Uncle John would come pick me up when we lived in Canton to go get a Arbys sandwich on Ford rd. We also used to shoot bottle rockets off the porch from his apartment into Ford rd from your balcony and laugh and laugh ... We always had fun together , He also was the instigator of the traditional Walker salute to the married couple leaving for there honeymoons haha lol , i also remember helping you push mow the lawn on Curtis which would take us all day ugh ... but we got er done didnt we. John would also make sure grandma and grandpa would have something special at Christmas time that they always looked forward to. We miss you John i didnt get to see you much in the last 20 years but you left a lasting impression on my life that will never be forgotten. May you ride the wings of the sky in heaven as you soar endlessly. God bless you Uncle John ~ Jimmer

My sweet Uncle John. So many things I could say but I will attempt to keep it short. I feel I really BECAME a true Walker as an adult. In May of 2001 I was living in Battle Creek Michigan and just got accepted to EMU. My dad (Dennis Walker) says no problem you can come stay with Uncle John and I. Uncle Curt also lived in the same complex. Best Summer ever getting to know my Walker Uncle's 💓 Uncle Ray, Brian and Dave especially lol came to visit often. It was so fun watching the brothers tell stories and interact. For the first time in my life I felt what family love meant. These brothers so very different from each other yet would walk through fire for one another. Such a loss felt by my family. Hug my dad for me Uncle John love you

Dear John, thanks for the time I was able to walk with you for parts of our life. Since we moved to the US, you helped me with honesty and always with a simple smile to enjoy soaring and get integrated into the Sandhill community. We had one beautiful soaring flight together and created the last Sandhill Soaring calendar. Many joined plans are now obsolete, however I will try continue in your legacy the calendar. I'm delighted that our path in life crossed each our. I wish you always blue skies and good soaring - now above the clouds.

I knew John briefly while I worked with him at the Novi Home Depot. John and I both loved the telling of a good joke and we exchanged our stories on a daily basis. I was sad when He transferred to his new store but I was devastated when I learned of his passing several days ago. The best of us are always taken much too quickly and John was certainly among those. I will miss you Johnny and hope that the Load will allow us to meet again one day in the great beyond.

It was such a pleasure to have John as my neighbor. He was an amazing guy with so many interests. I remember when he told me he was so interested in the bluebird. So he prepared his backyard with little bluebird houses hoping he would have some hatchlings. Sure enough they were seen. Now when I see the little bluebird in my backyard I will believe it’s John showing up for a visit. He also had so many wonderful stories about his flying. It was his strong passion. He would tell me that someday he’d get me up there flying with the clouds. I’m saddened that day will not come. Now he can fly and soar with the almighty. He will be missed dearly. God bless his family.

Hi John,
It’s me, Anona, your older sister. You know #2 of 12. As you are #3 we spent a great deal of time together, especially growing up and I have some absolutely incredible memories. Some of my more recent memories of the amazing glider ride with you, the wonderful glider ride you provided for my oldest grandson Keenan and our relaxing fun time together in Minnesota provides me with such fond memories. My mind and my heart are having a hard time accepting the fact that there will be no more crazy John stories and there will be another missing spot at Walker family gatherings but you will always be with me even though there is an empty place in my heart. Love you little brother and miss you dearly.
